The print
This is a high-quality print of a hand-drawn map on premium card stock - a thick (100 lb) card stock with a smooth, neutral white surface. Like a business card, but the size of a standard sheet of paper.
Note from the artist
Bitterroot Valley lies south of Missoula, flanked by the Bitterroot Mountains to the west and the Sapphire Mountains to the east.
Bitterroot Valley is home to the first European settlement in Montana, St. Mary's Mission. Nez Perce and other native tribes of the region used the Lolo Pass to access the Great Plains for centuries before European settlers arrived.
This map features the main sites of the Bitterroot Valley, including fire lookouts, observatories, St. Mary's Mission, homesteads, and alpine waterfalls.
